Meet the Practitioners

Owner/practitioner

Angelica

I grew up a practicing Buddhist in Surin, Thailand, where from a very young age I began to practice meditation and learn about spiritual principals. At age nineteen I underwent a major surgery to clear and repair a ureter that became completely blocked by kidney stones. My body has never been the same again after this procedure. My adult life has been plagued by frequent bouts of debilitating infections and compromised kidney function. Through the work I do with my clients, I have also been guided to facilitate my own emotional and physical healing process.

She was raised among the glow of fireflies in a small rural town in Arkansas, where barefoot summers, crisp river swims, and reflective walks in the forest nurtured her connection to the body and the natural world. Her path has unfolded alongside the roar of the Ganges in India, the serene Kii Mountains of Japan, and the vibrant life of the jungles of Thailand.

Facilitator

Ayya Niyyānika

Ayya Niyyānika, born in 1970, now age 55, uses they/them pronouns. The portion of their life with the most steady-happiness and open-hearted attention and action is since they entered the middle years of monastic life. They find the Buddha’s teachings transformative and clarifying. Before monastic life, Ayya chased many identities – through interests: math, fantasy, dance, philosophy and religion, gardening, nature of being; through roles: nerd, leader, dancer, research-scientist, ontologist, emergency standards developer, partner; through labels of various genders, sexuality, economic classes, neurotypes and physical and mental health conditions. Now they enjoy the opportunity to dedicate fully and unapologetically to cultivation of understanding, loving-kindness, and a strong, centered, warm-hearted being and doing in all things. For them, this way of practice feels the most aligned with truth, dignity, and true safety regardless of circumstances.

Talitha "Wanechiwa"

In the mid 90’s I immersed myself in the teachings and practices of a shaman community in Idaho. My entire last year with them was preparing for a 3 day vision quest. The overall experience blessed me with my spirit name and a dynamic practice that began to unfold from the teacher within. This awakening is about coming home and remembering your divine true nature. I am so excited to share this practice of aligning with your infinite temple... It provides a compass and infrastructure where wholeness can thrive, … dissolving fears, self doubts, and distortions. Bring a writing tablet to participate in your resonance with the Tree of Life Medicine Wheel.
